The Governor, His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM and Mrs Dawson attended the inaugural Governor’s Chaplaincy Awards held as part of the State Chaplaincy Conference presented by YouthCARE at Optus Stadium, Perth, WA.

As patron of YouthCARE, the Governor made a speech sharing his experience and appreciation of the chaplains he has encountered throughout his career.The Governor thanked chaplains for providing comfort, support and guidance to individuals and families during their most challenging times.

Mrs Dawson, as the judging panel chair, presented the award finalists and winners for each of the award categories, which included:
